The 2009 Baltimore Twestival - the “HF-Twestival” - is aminimusic festival being held on September 10th for the benefit of a localnon-profit. The Baltimore Twestival is being planned and organized by anetwork of more than 40 volunteers who aredonating the time andresources required to produce this event.

Why
Twestivalwas born out of the idea that if cities are able to collaborate on aninternational scale, but work from a local level, it would result in aspectacular impact. While Twestival Global put the spotlight around onecause, Twestival Local is encouraging cities around the world to hostevents in support a local cause.
100% of the proceeds from these eventswill go direct to the local not-for-profit selected. Everyoneinvolved with Twestival is a volunteer; majority are crowd sourced usingTwitter. Cities are asked to set a fundraising goal for their event, butit is much more than reaching a financial target.
Twestival Local is afantastic opportunity to connect with people in your community.The goalis to give people a chance to feel they are contributing to a largersocial initiative, but bring the cause a little closer tohome.

The organization strives to makemusic education available to all children with the belief that throughthe opportunities of music education, students becomewell-rounded, emotionally and intellectually mature adults. Bymaintaining a support system for these programs Music 4 More helpscontribute to a brighter future for our society.
